rookie they are definitely not rookies they are professional the food is off the hook i jeed to ask that the juicy burger be more well done but i did not ask that it be well done but i'm a dj at the community city theater rainier avenue radio station and jus out of the blue i told the wife let's check out the hood some more we live on ferdinand street so jus a hop skip and jump everything on the menu is good good good

I absolutely love rookies, their cheeseburgers, and waffle fries are just amazing, the kind of off the grill drippy, cheesy wonderful mess you're looking for. They also have a killer happy hour menu, which is awesome if you want to try a bunch of their appetizers, it helps that they're right down the block for me, but I would absolutely go here even if I had to drive for it.
2nd weekend in a row coming here. There are 2 separate bar areas, and a section with seating to accommodate larger parties which is also family friendly. Street parking is available, not sure if it's metered during the week, but there's also a lot right across the street for cheap ($2.00 an hour.) The place is usually packed for games, but there are plenty of TV's from any spot in the house. Service is friendly, prompt, and the menu selection is great. I usually order the steak salad which is great in flavor and portion, but this time we ordered their garlic Parmesan wings. They were flavorful, and crispy, definitely worth the try. I chose to wash that down with their espresso martini, which was delicious and foamy, just right not too sweet. They do offer a seasonal menu, which had a brisket poutine that I look forward to trying next visit.
Rookies is such a gem in Columbia city! The food is consistently good and there's something there for everyone! The nachos are the best in town
I was hesitant to try this place due to the many things that looked so good and my budget. But I finally did a couple days ago and had the chicken strips with chipotle mayo and bbq sauce, and the spicy pecan salad. Let me tell you, great and horrible choice. I've ordered 3 days in a row. Horrible choice as my bank account suffers. Great choice as its fabulous food and I grew up in the area. Please, please consider this amazing spot in Columbia City.
My 10-year-old daughter and I were fortunate enough to get a seat at one of the Seahawks morning game brunches!! Not only was the atmosphere completely amazing the staff and food completely put it over the top. If you ever are looking for a place to watch a game with other neighborhood sports fans rookies is your place! Great drinks, great food and a staff that truly gets it.
Came for lunch after driving from Vancouver and the food was amazing and the service was even better our waitress had no problems accommodating 10 people on the spot and did it with a smile.
Good local sports bar with tons of tv's, pretty good pub food and cold beer right in the heart of Columbia City. Watch Caitlin and my Hawks claw their way to a victory of LSU. Go Hawks!
Came for brunch on a Sunday :) Awesome food, casual sports bar atmosphere. They had the patio window open and it was light and airy. The Eggs Benny with Ham ($14.5) was on point! The tater tots were also extra crispy and wonderful. Staff is attentive and lovely.
